Dear Soccer Team Representative:
You are cordially invited to apply for participation in the Fredericksburg Cup Soccer Tournament in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This tournament is sponsored by the Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association right in the heart of Virginia. The tournament’s primary goal is to provide an outstanding competitive venue for Mid-Atlantic area teams to prepare them for fall division play.
Situated midway between Richmond and Washington, DC, Fredericksburg is considered one of America’s most historic cities. Home of Mary Washington, and boyhood home of George Washington, downtown Fredericksburg offers a myriad of historic stores and shops. The area is heavily populated with Civil War battlefields where Lee’s forces met head on with the Union army on several occasions. Other nearby destinations within about 30 minutes include King’s Dominion Theme Park to the south, the birthplace of George Washington and Robert E Lee and Westmoreland State Park on the Potomac in Westmoreland County to the east, the home of James Monroe to the west and Quantico Marine Corps Base with the US Marine Corps Air Museum to the north. It is an ideal location for an exciting weekend of competitive soccer and leisure activity. Open to both boys and girls ages U-9 through U-18, we hope your team will join us.
